rainstorm

here are a couple of pictures from the rainstorm we had today...these are at my parents house...there was tons of water everywhere! :-)

It truely was Lake Davis out there for a while today.

We were watching the water level rise in the drain ditch...it hit to the top of the tunnel that goes under the road, but not much higher, luckily. We have never seen the water level that high before.

Diaper bags

My new project has been diaper bags. I've done three of them now. I'm hoping to eventually be able to sell them...they've been kind of fun to put together...and they've turned out pretty cute. Here are a couple of pictures...If you know anyone that needs a bag!!! :-)

Updates

It's been a while since I posted last. We've been crazy busy, but been having fun. My brother Jason and his family was in town for a couple of weeks. It was fun to see them again, and for Abby to get to play with their kids. My sister Sarah came to town with her family as well. So we had a lot of family togetherness the last couple of weeks! We went to the Twin Falls open house. Abby loved it! She keeps asking if we can go to the temple again, and keeps asking about the big yellow guy on top of the temple. It's so cute! :-) I've been having fun making stuff with my sewing machine. I've been making little personalized scripture bags for the cousins. They have been turning out really cute. My mom and I also had to make princess nightgowns for the cousins. Those turned out really cute as well. I also made a quilt for one of Justin's cousins. It's been busy, but it's been fun! I enjoy having little projects. And I really enjoy it when they turn out cute, and the person I made it for enjoys it as well! If you know anyone that needs little scripture bag, let me know! :-)

Daphne has been cutting teeth numbers 3 and 4 this week. The top two. It's so cute to see those little teeth poking through in her smiles. :-) She has started army crawling. She will get up on her arms and knees, and then kind of rock back and forth, then fall down. She's gonna figure it out one of these days! Abby is still taking her gymnastics class at the Rec Center. She really enjoys it. It's cute to watch her learning new things. She has LOVED watching the gymnastics during the Olympics. As well as the swimming. Those have got to be her two favorite things in the world...well besides watching movies, and eating bean soup. :-)

Other than that, we are doing good. Just trying to keep up with the housework and yard work. Our front yard looks like crap this year...we've had so many weeds. And where there aren't any weeds, the grass is dying. I can't wait for the weather to cool down, so we don't have to worry about how horrible it looks...at least for a while.

return of the undead

No, we aren't ded...or dead. The time has gone by so fast! We've been keeping busy. I went to Utah this last weekend with my parents to see my niece get baptised. Abby loved being able to play with her cousins again. It was a short trip, but still nice to get back home to Justin. He stayed behind, so he could work on the 4th and get holiday pay.

Daphne is 7 months old now!! I can't believe it. She cut her second tooth this last weekend as well, while we were in Utah. I can't believe that she has 2 teeth already! How the time flies! Other than that, we have been keeping busy. Abby still has her gymnastic class on Tuesdays at the Rec Center. She really enjoys that. She's also been having a ton of fun with our little swimming pool and trampoline. What a cutie! Daphne loves eating people food. This was the attack of the killer sweet potatoes! And Abby was SSOOOOOO excited to get to share her bathtub with Daphne. It was the cutest! :-) She's been wanting Daphne to get in it with her for so long. It will still be a while before Daphne can actually stay in there with her..but they both enjoyed the couple of minutes that they got together.

thursday update

This picture is too cute! Both sisters, sucking on their fingers...just different hands. :-)

It's been a busy couple of weeks. I've been having fun making little bags for my neices and nephews with my new sewing machine...and they have enjoyed having something special with their names on them. :-) I made one for my mom yesterday, with all the grandkids names on it...it turned out pretty cute...at least i think.

We have a fence!! Justin took last friday and saturday off. (Happy birthday to him!) And we got the fence up. His brother came over and helped..and then friday night we had a little birthday party for justin and a few of our friends came over, and played on the Wii all night long. The fence isn't completely finished yet. We still need two gates, but everything else is done. We were kind of worried that when they were digging the post holes, that maybe the phone line got clipped or something, because the phone wasn't working right..but the Qwest guy came out today, and fixed it...they did manage to break one of the sprinkler lines though. So we need to get that fixed, before too long, so our grass doesn't get any worse looking. We've got all kind of weeds and billbug this year...hopefully we can get rid of it all.

Other than that. We've been busy. We got the wii fit. It's pretty fun. I've been enjoying doing the aerobic exercises. There are some pretty fun games on there.
The girls are doing good!! Daphne has been trying food the last couple of weeks. We'd only given her rice cereal up until today, and she really didn't care for it all that much. Justin gave her some sweet potatoes today, and she thought those were great. It's so funny to watch her personality grew every day.

Well, I need to go back to house work. My sister and her family is coming to town this weekend. And I think that my neice is going to have a "sleep over" with abby again. So I need to get things cleaned up a bit. Hope all is well with everyone!! Just some cute faces :-)

My new sewing machine!

My new sewing machine came on Wednesday. Happy Mother's Day to me! :-) It's fun! The last two nights I've been over at my parents house, and my mom and I have been trying to figure out how to use it...it only took us an hour the first night to figure out how to thread the stupid thing! :-) Tonight I fiddled with the embroidery functions, and ended up making Abby a little purse/bag. I messed up in a few spots, but she's not going to care, and it still looks cute to me! :-) I'm excited for the projects I can do now :-)

We are hopefully going to get our fence up this next week. That will be REALLY nice. And will hopefully keep the dummies out of our yard. Well, it's after midnight, and I really need to go to bed.

Monday Morning Madness

Here is a cute picture of Abby and Daphne last week at Abby's doctor appointment...they are such cute sisters!


We have been in spring cleaning mode, or at least I have been, the last couple of weeks. We've been cleaning out the garage, and Justin has built some shelves..we have also been cleaning out the spare/junk/computer/justin room. We got a new desk off of craig's list. It takes up quite a bit less room. We have gotten rid of so much stuff! I can't believe how much stuff we've collected the last few years. I've given a lot of it away, but also sold a few things on craig's list. I'm hoping to be able to sell a few more things. I'm gonna buy a new sewing machine! I need about $100 and I'll have enough to get the one that I want. I'm excited. :-)
The girls are doing good. Growing like crazy. We finally got the crib set up. I had Justin put it in our room..I'm not quite ready for Daphne and Abby to share a room yet..plus I don't want to have to walk across the house to get her in the middle of the night when she wakes up.
Well, I've got a lot to get done today!
